Claude Code bug: next-step box hides plugin AbovePrompt renders
luca-derosa · ghdev · 2026-10-16
New bug in anthropics/claude-code (#102480): in Claude Desktop's Code tab on Windows, when the wrapup turn tool shows its next-step box, any plugin band registered via on('ui.render', { component: 'AbovePrompt' }) silently disappears, returning only after the user sends the next message.
The report includes full repro steps (install a mod rendering AbovePrompt, run a wrapup turn, watch the band vanish) and argues a built-in surface shouldn't hide a slot the plugin API exposes. A related but separate issue: the same box can end the turn before the reply is written (#102132).
