Gemini CLI PR preserves quota-interrupted sessions, one-Escape stop fix
seokjeongeum · ghdev · 2026-10-17
A community PR (#29799) fixes a user-reported regression in google-gemini/gemini-cli: requests stopped by quota errors or cancellation now keep the latest prompt and completed tool rounds instead of rolling back, so quit/signout cleanup no longer erases resumable history. One Escape press selects Stop in the quota retry dialog. Regression tests write real JSONL and rebuild client history; 230/230 core and 60/60 CLI Vitest tests pass on Linux and native Windows.
