Claude Code bug: wrap_up question box strips context and overrides user CLAUDE.md rules
christopher-buss · ghdev · 2026-10-18
A developer filed issue #103036 on anthropics/claude-code: in Claude Desktop's Code tab, the wrapup tool's question box (ask + actions) shows only a short recap and buttons with no findings in the message text, forcing decisions with zero context. Notably, a CLAUDE.md rule requiring full context before any question box was ignored twice — even after a complaint — because the tool's own wording tells the model the recap is sufficient. The reporter proposes refusing such calls (related #102132), fixing the tool wording, and adding a setting to disable the question box.
