Gemini spotted testing new 'Daily brief' tab that digests your chat history
BusyNomad · reddit · 2026-10-18
A user spotted a new "Daily brief" tab in the Gemini web sidebar, apparently in a gradual rollout. Based on screenshots, it generates a personalized digest from your recent conversations — an "Looking ahead" section tracks ongoing projects (like fine-tuning OCR scripts) and offers one-click follow-up suggestions, from batch multi-threading strategies to deeper analysis of the Silo novel universe. It signals Gemini moving toward proactive daily summaries and task recommendations layered on top of chat history. Google has not officially announced the feature yet.
