rabbit r1 OS3 promises natively rendered 60FPS apps as vibe coding takes center stage
mervenoyann · x · 2026-10-19
rabbit r1's jesselyu confirmed the team is building OS3, which will render community-created apps natively and run them at 60FPS on the device — a much-needed upgrade to the existing creations feature. Users can already vibe code apps, install community creations on-device, or jailbreak to run things like llama.cpp for speech-to-speech apps. Blogger mervenoyann said she shelved a teenage engineering sampler purchase to tinker with her r1 instead, praising the open, hackable direction.
Note: the device was sent to her for free, but she states it is not a paid promotion.
