BusyNomad · reddit · 2026-10-18
A Reddit user spotted a new "Search Google" toggle in Gemini's tools menu, letting users explicitly enable or disable Google Search as a tool. The screenshot shows it listed alongside Upload files and Create image, with an active Search Google chip in the prompt box next to an "Argon High" model tier option, suggesting Google is refining tool and grounding controls in Gemini.
