New site detects if your website was vibe coded by reading its design fingerprints
sahilypatel · x · 2026-10-18
Developer sahilypatel launched is-it-vibecoded.vercel.app: paste any website URL and it guesses whether the site was AI-built.
It scans the HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the design habits AI tools fall back on without steering — purple gradients, the cream-and-terracotta Claude look, the badge above the headline, three icon cards, em dashes. If the page names its builder (Lovable, v0, Bolt often do), it says so. The author notes it's a guess from design fingerprints, not proof — well-steered AI sites leave almost no trace.
