QbitAI rounds up DeepSeek's flurry of embodied AI moves: Yu Tao, former humanoid foundation model lead at LimX Dynamics and Tencent AI Lab, founded an LLM+embodied startup with valuations of $70M and $200M, with DeepSeek reportedly among investors; Bloomberg earlier reported DeepSeek may lead a round in Hu Han's Winverse AI ($400M valuation, Meridian参与).
DeepSeek also put 141M RMB into Unitree's IPO strategic placement in August (0.23% stake) plus a strategic cooperation memo. The piece notes OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Kimi and Zhipu are all moving into embodied AI — frontier labs extending into the physical world.
