A survey by Chris Barber asked practitioners to vote for the sub-$10B AI labs with the highest talent density. Core Automation (32 votes, founders Jerry Tworek and Rohan Anil) led, followed by Periodic Labs (26, founded by Liam Fedus), Flapping Airplanes (20), Standard Intelligence (18) and Ricursive (8). The full list includes 18 more labs with one vote each, such as Sakana AI and Isomorphic Labs.
