Codex browser extension v1.26 ships two regressions: local control mode removed, Edge build blocked by CSP

Issue #54490 on openai/codex reports two regressions in the Chrome/Edge browser extension v1.26.x (auto-updated 2026-10-16):
- Local browser-control mode removed: The side panel now force-loads chatgpt.com in an iframe (codex-work-sidepanel.html); the previous local mode that drove the browser directly via the native host is gone, with no user-facing toggle. The behavior is controlled by the remote Statsig gate codexchromesidepanelworkmode (codexSidePanelDestination set to worksidepanel), with no local override.
- Edge store build blocked by CSP: The Edge-addons build (extension ID odlomjlbamekndcpllcnffbgeohgkmjh) is missing from the frame-ancestors CSP directive returned by chatgpt.com, so the side panel fails with "chatgpt.com refused to connect". The Chrome Web Store build (hehggadaopoacecdllhhajmbjkdcmajg) works since its ID is whitelisted. Native messaging shows connected — only the iframe embedding is rejected.
