opencode bug: compress warning fires at 10% usage despite 1M context window
veanutbutter · ghdev · 2026-10-17
A bug report against opencode v2.0.32 describes the automatic context-compress warning firing when only 10% of the context is used, even though the active model reports a 1M token window. Reproduced on Windows Terminal/PowerShell with plugins opencode-tavily and @tarquinen/opencode-dcp loaded; it happens every session. Expected behavior is compaction triggering near the real limit (e.g. an 80%+ high watermark). No workaround reported yet.
