Sooool: coding agents that reason about real-time API latency
wzenus · x · 2026-10-17
Sooool is an early exploration of coding agents tackling latency-sensitive tasks where the environment changes while the model is still thinking. Key techniques: running up to 8 model requests in parallel so the agent keeps acting on new frames while earlier decisions are in flight; profiling the target API and simulating its delays with cheaper inference during development; and feeding the agent latency stats (mean, std, P90, P95) so it can plan around expected delays. Demo shows Sol playing games frame by frame, without code-as-a-policy.
