Teknium catalogs 330 hackable devices and 1,697 project ideas for Hermes Agent
Teknium · x · 2026-10-17
Teknium (Hermes) published The Hermes Workshop: a catalog of 330 open, hackable, API-driven devices with 1,697 worked-up project ideas across 30 families for plugging Hermes Agent into real hardware. Rule: every device must expose a local interface (REST/MQTT/MCP/SCPI/serial/ROS 2/flashable firmware), no vendor cloud. Hermes writes ESPHome YAML and Klipper macros, flashes boards OTA, monitors on cron, and stores per-device quirks as skills. First featured device: a $15 Waveshare ESP32-S3 voice+LCD board that registers as a full gateway platform.
