Non-programmer builds a 32-bit OS with Wine in 3.5 months using only Codex

A self-described non-programmer built his own OS, BlesKernOS, in 3.5 months using only Codex (with ChatGPT patches when credits ran out), now open-sourced on GitHub. It features SMP, ring 3, paging, and a custom 32-bit kernel (some abandoned arm32 code), plus Wine support via a POSIX layer and Linux ABIs. It can run Photoshop 4, Office 97, WinZip, Quake 2, and FIFA 2000 (with polygon glitches due to unaccelerated virtio graphics). A striking demo of vibe coding's limits and possibilities.
