Zed founder's voice-first writing workflow: dictate, then let an agent outline
zeeg · x · 2026-10-17
Zed editor founder Nathan Sobo shares his new writing workflow: dictate your thoughts via Wispr, pass the transcript to your favorite agent to generate an outline with notes, then dump the outline into your writing tool of choice.
He argues the hardest part of writing is collecting and organizing thoughts, and this flow makes that much easier. He adds that dictating directly into a ChatGPT session also worked, but he generally finds Wispr more reliable.
