Workday customers grill each other on AI ROI, leadership skills and UX standardization

At Workday Rising 2026, diginomica's Jon Reed attended an unusual customer-to-customer session where Caterpillar, Carlyle and other Sana pioneers traded AI adoption lessons.
The first audience question was pricing/ROI: with Sana Enterprise a significant investment, how do you build the business case for your finance team? Carlyle's Omer Tanvir acknowledged it's hard because every company measures value differently. Other hot topics: what leadership skills AI adoption demands, and which AI UX to standardize on, echoing the conference's "headless" enterprise-UX battle.
The takeaway for enterprise AI watchers: customers care less about model capability than cost accounting, organizational readiness and interface control.
