Per Anthropic, Claude now writes about 90% of Claude Code's code; merged PRs more than doubled from June to September while reverted PR share fell over 40%. Rob Leclerc quips "so they stopped hiring engineers and researchers, right?" — but Anthropic's careers page still shows 67 open roles in AI Research & Engineering. The irony: as AI coding output surges, frontier labs' demand for human researchers keeps growing.
