liuliu · reddit · 2026-10-17
Draw Things developer liuliu published an end-to-end speed benchmark of local image/video generation on Apple Silicon: 3 models (Qwen Image 2.1 Turbo, Krea 2 Turbo, MiniMax H3), 4 Macs (M3 Ultra / M4 Pro / M5 Ultra / M6 Mac mini), 4 inference engines, 28 benchmark cases. Results: Draw Things is fastest at 1.80x the mflux baseline, vpipe 1.27x, mlx-serve 1.14x. The title poster was generated by Qwen Image 2.1 Turbo and refined with r/localcodeapp to render the real bar chart.
