Brain-chip startup Shenxin raises tens of millions, ships 1024-channel BCI chip for testing

China's brain-computer interface sector has seen 60+ funding rounds totaling over 7 billion RMB this year, yet invasive neural-signal chips still rely heavily on overseas suppliers like Intan. Shenxin Technology, founded in 2024 and incubated by Hainan University, is tackling this gap. Founder Yin Ming, a former Blackrock Neurotech senior engineer who worked on the FDA-approved Utah electrode platform, leads the company.

Shenxin has shipped a chip matrix covering signal acquisition, stimulation and wireless transmission: a 128-channel acquisition+stimulation chip (SX-R128S4), a 32-channel neuromodulation chip, and the SX-WD60 wireless chip. Its flagship 1024-channel acquisition+wireless chip has completed tape-out and is in customer testing, with wireless power draw of only 10+ mW—about 1/14 of competitors. It serves 40+ customers and raised tens of millions of RMB in a pre-A+ round in July 2026.

The founders argue BCI won't stop at medical use—healthy-human augmentation is the next frontier, requiring minimal surgical damage and strong capability gains. They expect products to land within 3-5 years, with long-term in-body stability validation as the key remaining bottleneck.
