Credo's active LED cable extends the AEC playbook into a ~5x larger short-reach optics market
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-17
Creative Strategies' Atlas note from OCP Global Summit: Credo, built on in-rack copper links, is extending into multimode optical cable (ALC) for scale-out, with near-packaged optics and optical backplanes to follow. Spare optical channels can reroute around a weakening channel before the link drops, making reliability a key selling point beyond the rack. Credo models copper as a $13B market in 2030, with short-reach optics roughly five times larger.
