speech.cpp v0.8.8 adds support for Fish Audio's drama-3 and speeds up inference on M5 Macs. The ggml-based C++ project bundles Qwen3-TTS, Qwen3-ASR, Irodori-TTS, ReazonSpeech, parakeet and Silero VAD, runs on Metal/Vulkan/CPU, and ships an OpenAI-compatible server with live transcription — no Python or CUDA required. drama-3 needs 32GB+ RAM on Mac or 8GB+ VRAM plus 32GB RAM on Windows/Linux.
