Open-source Free WebAccess routes agent web search across vendors for $0 with auto-fallback
yangyi · x · 2026-10-16
jasonzhou1993 introduces Free WebAccess, an open-source layer giving agents 100% free web search and page fetches via treg.to — covering any page, social posts, store listings and reviews.
Key design: route by job, not vendor. Calls are tried in order of each vendor's hit rate, price and speed; if the free call returns empty or gets blocked (e.g. TinyFish empty, Crawl4AI 403), treg automatically falls back to the next vendor. Pay-per-success vendors cost nothing on a miss.
Every call returns a trace showing who served it, who was tried first and what each attempt cost (e.g. TinyFish $0 → Crawl4AI 403 $0 → AnyAPI $0.0007 hit). Options ride as HTTP headers so request bodies stay vendor-native. Ships with cost/speed/token-efficiency benchmarks and a unified API (treg.web.extract).
