GPT-built unifi-simulator makes MikroTik switches appear inside UniFi Network

Inspired by a bedtime idea — "what if my MikroTiks showed up in the UniFi Network app?" — a Czech developer used GPT's help to build the open-source unifi-simulator: a Docker service that emulates RouterOS 7 switches via the device-side inform protocol, making a MikroTik RB760iGS visible in UniFi topology with ports, wired clients, FDB/ARP/DHCP data and neighbor evidence (screenshots show it online with live port stats).
MIT-licensed, with a read-only RouterOS API collector and independent multi-device supervision; experimental milestones M0–M5. A neat reference for homelab users managing mixed-vendor networks.
