OpenCode v1.19.2 keeps 1.x installs off the 2.x update path
opencode-agent[bot] · ghdev · 2026-10-16
anomalyco/opencode released v1.19.2, centered on fixing upgrade channel logic:
- OpenCode 1 update checks now only track the npm opencode-ai 1.x latest, so 1.x installs are never offered a 2.x build as a regular update
- Moving to OpenCode 2 remains an explicit choice via the 2.0 offer in /update or opencode upgrade --major
- Fixes upgrades for yarn-managed installs; Homebrew Core installs skip 1.x updates (they track OpenCode 2), with tap and Chocolatey availability checked before offering updates
- The install script refuses to install 2.x versions
