Meta released Muse Spark Open, billed as the most capable US open-weight model to date: 816B parameters, 42B active, 1M token context. Benchmark charts show it leading GLM 5.3, Kimi K3 and Qwen3.8 on agentic and reasoning evals like JobBench (61.8), MCP-Atlas (89.2), HLE-Diamond (26.1) and AA-Omniscience (25).
The same day, NVIDIA dropped Nemotron 3.5 Bolt, compressing the 120B Super VL into a 74B model (9B active) that fits in 24GB — #1 on PinchBench among models of its size, beating Qwen3.6-35B and Gemma4 on many benchmarks. Frontier-level models you can run yourself are getting closer every week.
