Sentry CEO David Cramer posted a screenshot of an internal agent run: a "Research Subagent Steering in Claude Code and Codex Prompts" task ran 5h50m, burned 243M tokens across 11 subagents, and cost an estimated $101.90.
Almost all of it came from claude-opus-5.5 ($100.95), with gpt-6-luna at just $0.76. The main agent accounted for $47.68 and the 11 subagents $54.22 combined, while auxiliary tasks like Guardian, briefs and memory recall cost under $0.25 — a candid look at the real cost structure of large-scale agent orchestration.
