Open-source Pi desktop client ships with session history, scheduled tasks, Codex-like UI
solyarisoftware · x · 2026-10-16
A new third-party desktop client for Pi (MIT-licensed, not official) lets you use Pi without touching the terminal, with builds for Mac (Apple silicon), Windows, and Linux.
Key features:
- Session continuity: automatically imports past sessions, models, and login state, organized by project
- Visible process: real-time display of thinking, tool calls, context usage, and cost
- Scheduled tasks: saved prompts can run hourly/daily/weekly with notifications
The author's screenshots show a real workflow: using the GUI to analyze a marketing-agent project, referencing Anthropic's official commerce-agents reference implementation (shopping-agent, merchant-agent), and having GLM produce a structured marketing-agent design doc.
