Worldview maps the AI debate: interview pins your position against researchers and lab leaders
maxsloef · x · 2026-10-16
Worldview (by MTS) launched a tool that interviews you on AI's biggest questions and places you on a map of researchers, forecasters, and lab leaders built from their public statements.
The crux map breaks down the arguments splitting the AI conversation, such as:
- Automated AI researcher by 2028? (AI fully automating frontier research, building its successor)
- Intelligence explosion after that? (years of progress compressed into a year)
- Key cruxes include whether "coding is most of the job" of automating research, and whether "research taste" — choosing problems, interpreting results — will be automated soon after
Each claim links to sub-claims and supporters' takes, ranked by how strongly each crux tracks people's overall positions.
