ChatGPT Classic login fix: disabling Firefox tracking protection unblocks NextAuth 2FA error
-SpaghettiCat- · reddit · 2026-10-16
A user locked out of the ChatGPT Classic Windows app after logging out—hitting a NextAuth.js HTTP GET error after 2FA—found the culprit was Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection interfering with the auth flow. Disabling it for chatgpt.com and allowing the browser-to-app redirect restored login and chat history. The post also documents recurring "Too many requests" limits despite light usage (10 prompts/hour), while OpenAI's status page showed only an unrelated Compliance API issue.
