EvenRealities Accused of Abandoning $1,000 G1 Glasses Owners With Incompatible New App
RileyRalmuto · x · 2026-10-16
User Riley Ralmuto publicly calls out EvenRealities: the new app only supports Even G2 glasses and the R1 ring, and his first-generation G1 glasses can no longer connect. He says the company issued a memo promising to take care of G1 owners with zero follow-up, and Reddit is filled with upset first-gen customers. The G1 launched at about $1,000, making the glasses effectively unusable without the companion app. The screenshot shows the new app's device-selection screen listing only G2 and R1.
