"YC Exists Only for This Now": Backed Alzheimer's Project Decried as a Scam
ctjlewis · x · 2026-10-16
Tech commentator ctjlewis slams a Y Combinator-backed Alzheimer's treatment project led by a young founder from India, arguing it isn't run by actual doctors: "YC has been so thoroughly cannibalized that it exists only to do things like this now. Pluck this kid out of India and send him to go scam your grandparents."
He also asks why Alzheimer's specifically is so rife with fraud — from the infamous fabricated research scandal years ago to this project — saying he supports new treatments but they should come from real doctors.
