Longtime Windsurf user cancels $10/month legacy plan, citing AI subscription fatigue
tristanbob · x · 2026-10-16
A user who subscribed to Windsurf (now Devin) since launch — grandfathered at just $10/month — has cancelled. The discount kept him subscribed for years even though he barely used it, but after a recent trial he decided the real cost was juggling too many AI accounts.
A screenshot shows his Pro plan cancelled with paid access running until Oct 22, 2026. The takeaway: with so many AI coding tools competing for subscriptions, tool-switching overhead has itself become a reason users quit.
