pstack's durable core: 10-20 line skills that distill agent best practices into principles
HankYeomans · x · 2026-10-15
Engineer poteto explains the most durable part of pstack: very concise skills (10-20 lines of code) that distill good practices into core principles. A short index in /poteto-mode instructs agents to name each principle that shaped a decision and the specific choice it changed—hence the "Principles Named or Used" sections. Many principles were extracted from his own agent-correction sessions this year (e.g. "Attack the Premise", inspired by Victor Taelin). He expects most skills to compress into short principles or generic workflows as models improve, letting him delete some. Uncle Bob praised the wisdom encoded in them.
