Datadog has released Scout 1.0, the model powering its AI SRE agent "Bits Investigation" for complex troubleshooting and late-night alerts. The team post-trained Zhipu's GLM-5.3 Flash, matching frontier-model performance at a fraction of the cost on their internal AlertEval benchmark — a notable case of a large public company building a vertical agent on a Chinese open-weights model.
