Nous Research's Hermes Agent builds a local home security system for an 89-year-old
NousResearch · x · 2026-10-15
- A user told his Hermes Agent he worried about his 89-year-old grandfather being home alone while traveling.
- The agent autonomously installed Home Assistant on a Mac Mini, wired up a Zigbee USB radio, and coded a fully local security and wellness system: tablet control, voice feedback, and panic buttons by the stairs and bedroom.
- It even built a custom easy-to-read dashboard for the elderly user. Nous Research shared the heartwarming demo.
