Frontier models will do month-long delegated work by 2027 — the 'good enough' model thesis is wrong
Afinetheorem · x · 2026-10-15
The author argues the "good enough vs frontier" framing is wrong: many models can answer chatbot queries, but frontier models will do the delegating — with persistent context and month-long effort on a single task, plausibly by 2027.
On that view there's no real expensive/powerful vs cheap/weaker tradeoff; capability gaps compound dramatically on long-horizon tasks.
