Blogger argues you can have ASI or aligned AI, but never aligned ASI
eigenron · x · 2026-10-15
eigenron proposes a strictly dogmatic view: we get either ASI or aligned AI, but not aligned ASI. This doesn't mean superintelligence would be misaligned — rather, a true superintelligence would treat human values as arbitrary and inconsequential as the imagined values of unicorns. Alignment, he argues, is a profoundly anthropocentric ideal.
