RAI Institute's single-track bicycle robot UMV lands in Science Robotics

RAI Institute introduced the Ultra Mobility Vehicle (UMV), a single-track bicycle robot combining wheeled efficiency with dynamic articulation to bridge legged agility and wheeled economy. Reinforcement learning controls bike jumps, flips, and bunny hops; the system design appears in the October 2026 issue of Science Robotics.
