Perplexity warns: stale routes can serve old data after sandbox resumes on another machine
perplexity_ai · x · 2026-10-15
Perplexity shared a distributed-systems gotcha: when a sandbox resumes on another machine, it keeps its sandbox ID but starts a new execution. A stale route can send a valid request to the older execution and return old data — checking the sandbox ID alone won't catch the difference. A useful caution for anyone building agent sandbox or code-execution infrastructure.
