After 3 years, HTMS ships first client project compiling HTML into JavaScript

Developer Vheissu shared HTMS (Hyper Text Media Script), an experimental compiler he started in 2023 and has now used to deliver a real client project after three years.
- Core idea: write reactive web components in HTML-flavoured source — state, loops and events are all tags (borrowing from ColdFusion), e.g. <var> for mutable state, <event> for bindings, <set> for updates.
- Output: compiles to regular JavaScript built on Custom Elements, Shadow DOM and DOM events, not a runtime interpreter.
- The project is open source on GitHub (6 stars), with AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md files for AI-assisted development and Jest + Playwright tests.
