pytest-torch: open-source pytest plugin for testing PyTorch models, now in alpha
AKJ7 · reddit · 2026-10-14
Developer AKJ7 released pytest-torch, an open-source pytest plugin (alpha) that removes repetitive device setup, reproducibility checks, and output comparisons across PyTorch projects. Features: inference checks, compile/export parity tests, checkpoint tests, accuracy evaluation, and layer-by-layer diagnostics to locate where two models diverge. Feedback wanted, especially on hard-to-reproduce model bugs. GitHub: github.com/AKJ7/pytest-torch
