Dev builds a live tracker for OpenAI's 28-day Codex challenge: 4 resets in 9 days
musicfan39 · reddit · 2026-10-14
OpenAI is running a 28-day challenge: each day it ships either a "clear improvement" for all Codex users or a full usage-limit reset. Nine days in, there have been 4 resets and 13 improvements.
A developer built an auto-updating calendar tracker (resetalerts.com) using Tibo's X account + the X API as the source. The tricky part was tuning the prompt to distinguish a brand-new reset announcement from an update on a previously announced one. The project also includes an alerting service — SMS in the US/Canada, Telegram elsewhere — that pings when Codex resets are announced or become available.
