Building a Company OS in 11 Days with Claude Code and Slack to Reclaim 8 Hours a Week
aakashgupta · x · 2026-10-14
Aakash Gupta spent 11 days building a "Company OS": an AI assistant living in Slack, Telegram, iMessage, and GitHub that absorbs context-routing pings ("when does this ship?", "share the launch results") that cost PMs roughly 10 pings x 10 minutes = 8+ hours a week.
The design draws on two CPOs from his podcast:
- Jiaona Zhang (Laurel): documented how the company works before building anything on top, then created a harness with review at every step — to the point CSMs ship to production.
- Mikhail Shcheglov: made the whole system accessible via Telegram, added self-improving skills, and a way to measure shared team context.
The author's version ships as a system plus an assistant, with enterprise controls (roles and permissions) and a dashboard for admins. His core thesis: companies whose AI adoption actually sticks all wrote down how the company operates first — the step most organizations skip.
