Simple config.toml tweak reportedly lifts 272k coding context cap to 872k
JayJeds · reddit · 2026-10-13
A user found their subscription coding sessions capped at 272k context (258k effective). Fix: edit config.toml to change the cap from 272k to 872k, restart the desktop client, and send a prompt in the existing session. Coding reportedly works fine afterward. A user-side workaround of unclear durability and ToS status.
