diginomica: context and harnesses make agents smarter, but humans must stay in the loop
jonerp · x · 2026-10-13
diginomica's weekly enterprise column offers a sober take on agentic AI. It distinguishes context (feeding the right organizational data at inference time — 'real-time organizational truth') from harnesses (the accountability layer preventing unauthorized actions, governing tool calls by permissions). Most coding/math gains come from harnesses via output verification and correction, but neither is a cure-all: enterprises aren't taking humans out of the loop, and AI architectures need resilience beyond short-termism.
