Temporal agent falls for prompt injection but scoped authority blocks the .env read before it runs
daniel_tenuo · reddit · 2026-10-13
Developer Rajan built a Temporal agent with Tenuo and planted a prompt injection in robots.txt telling it to read .env. The agent does try — but the call is rejected at the worker before the activity ever runs. The agent then carries on with only its authorized changes, opens a PR, and waits for human merge. A neat demo of combining Temporal workflows with scoped, least-privilege authority so injections can't land.
