OpenUptime goes open source: agent-managed uptime monitoring via MCP, MIT licensed

gefei55 · x · 2026-10-12

OpenUptime is a new open-source (MIT), multi-user uptime monitor and status page system deployable on Cloudflare Workers (+pg) or Docker, built for small projects that need customizable status pages.

It covers HTTP/HTTPS, TCP port, DNS, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis checks, heartbeats for cron jobs, keyword/status/slow-response alerts at up to per-minute frequency, auto-resolving incidents, maintenance windows, and alert channels including Slack, Lark, Telegram, PagerDuty, email and webhooks. Status pages offer 90-day history, theming, RSS feeds and SVG badges.

The standout feature is 'built for agents': an OAuth-scoped MCP server lets Claude, Cursor or any MCP client manage monitors directly, alongside a full REST API for scripts, Terraform and CI. Self-hosted includes all core features with no telemetry and no per-monitor fees; a hosted beta adds paid-tier limits.
