Claude Code bug: /skills shows loaded but main agent never receives the skills listing
voidfreud · ghdev · 2026-10-09
Issue #100813 on anthropics/claude-code (v2.1.295, macOS) reports that in ordinary interactive CLI sessions the main agent never receives the available-skills listing, even though /skills and /context show everything enabled. A subagent from the same session does get it. Since the Skill tool tells the model to only use names from the listing, the main agent silently falls back to generic tools — the reporter's X/Twitter-link skill was bypassed in favor of a generic MCP scraper. Related to #87281 and #74990 but occurs without background jobs or compaction.
