Claude Code 2.1.296 bug: no OSC 7501 status reports even after terminal probe reply
dpc00 · ghdev · 2026-10-11
A bug report on anthropics/claude-code (#101114): on Windows 11 with a libghostty-based terminal (GhostShell in Sublime Text), Claude Code 2.1.296 correctly sends its startup probes (ESC[>0q, ESC[?u, ESC]7501;?, CSI c) and the terminal answers in order, yet no OSC 7501;state=... status report is sent during a full turn across three separate sessions. CLAUDECODEDISABLETERMINALTITLE is unset and sessions are interactive. The reporter asks whether the feature is gated behind a rollout flag or a particular mode.
