Dev spends 3 months building a fully local agent harness on Mac, invites compare notes
Victor_eu · reddit · 2026-10-10
A developer shares a self-built agent harness running 100% locally on a Mac: multi-provider support with a separate agent loop per provider, file-centric output, data stays on-device, and it's faster than cloud options.
The original motivation was needing a generalist agent to test the Kimi K3 model. The author is collecting experiences from others who built their own harnesses.
